Meet Zoë

Throughout my life I’ve been drawn to people’s stories and what makes them who they are. A lot of this stems from my own internal struggles and personal experience of walking through the world. I understand that so much of who we are is masked to those on the outside which can lead to a misalignment with our inner self and what others see. This can lead to different ways of coping, anxiety, detachment, depression, and much more. I have witnessed first-hand the power that connection with a safe person has on honoring my true self. It’s allowed me to navigate the world and my mental-health journey from a place of inner-knowing and inner-compassion. I have become better acquainted with my internal self and the experiences and emotions that impact her – it’s a continuous journey. It is my mission to support my clients in doing the same.

  • My favourite place to be is by any body of water. I value spending time with my close family and friends, exploring different places and cultures, and opening myself up to new experiences. The arts (especially live theatre and movies) fill my soul, and I have trouble not dancing to any music playing. I have recently returned to BC after spending 3 years living in the UK and am new to Vancouver!

  • I’m here to be with you on your journey meeting you exactly where you are. I bring curiosity and tenderness to my sessions. The therapeutic space is one to be both honored and nurtured – a space to walk alongside your inner world and inner self. I work from a trauma-informed lens, which means I ensure your safety and the path you have walked leading up to our time together is at the forefront of our work. I understand that the therapeutic environment can feel quite strange at times. Trust and safety are crucial in our sessions together.

I bring an integration of person-centered, mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches to our sessions. I aim to help you move towards and through the emotions, thoughts, and body sensations you’re experiencing through a lens of compassion and openness. Through our work, it’s my goal to help you gain a deeper understanding of how you see yourself in the world based on your body’s historical journey. To come home to yourself.

In our sessions, you’ll hear me use terms such as “zoom in” to get to the root of what you’re experiencing and “zoom out” to connect what we discover to your wider experiences. I’ll check in with your body regularly. I’ll check in with you to ensure that what we’re doing feels relevant and safe. I’ll encourage slow and meaningful approaches in understanding what surfaces for you in our sessions. I am here to be with you as you gain a deeper understanding of what you’re experiencing in the present, and how it connects to what you’ve experienced before.

  • I welcome a diverse range of clients above the age of 14. My sessions are a safe place for culturally diverse clients and people within the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
