Criminal Victim Assistance Program Services
Providing counselling services for eligible victims, immediate family members, and witnesses of violent crime.

Available to victims, witnesses, and immediate family members of violent crimes that occurred in BC. A police report or criminal conviction is not required to qualify.

Applications should ideally be submitted within one year of the crime, though exceptions can be made.

CVAP typically covers up to 48 initial counselling sessions, with an additional 24 sessions available if required to attend court proceedings. You may also receive up to 12 interim sessions while your application is still pending.
